The Function
Room
A private room upstairs with its own bar, for weddings, birthdays, christenings, wakes, engagement parties, retirements and Christmas parties.
The room
The room is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs from the entrance. It has a bar of its own, a stage, and windows down one side looking over the rooftops of Caerphilly towards the mountain.
Book the room and it is yours for the day. The bar in it is staffed for your event and serves nobody else.
Food can be catered through the club or you can bring your own caterers, so the only thing you have to arrange with us is the date and the numbers.
Booking it
- Send the form on this page, or ring the club, and we will tell you whether the date is free.
- We will come back with the hire charge and the deposit for your date and your numbers.
- Once you are happy, come in to fill in a booking form and pay the deposit.

Chair covers, a top table and a dance floor go in for weddings and big parties. Tell us what you have in mind when you enquire.
The bar, the food and the stairs
The bar
A licensed bar in the room, staffed all night and serving your guests only.
Real ale, draught lager, spirits and soft drinks, all at club prices. Drink is bought at the bar rather than brought in, so there is no corkage to settle and nothing to carry up the stairs.
Food
A buffet catered through the club, or your own caterers if you would rather.
Either way it is settled when you book. Tell us the numbers and anything anybody cannot eat, and we will take it from there.
Getting in
The room is on the first floor, up a flight of stairs, and there is no lift.
If that is difficult for anybody coming, ring the club before you book and we will talk through what can be done on the day.
Funerals and wakes
The room is used for funeral receptions. It is upstairs and away from the rest of the club, so the afternoon is yours.
Ring the club and we will arrange the room, the bar and the food between us. You will not have to make three separate calls.
